Dates and Fees

The Nursery is open all year round and has just begun the transition to being a 51-week provision. We are only closed on Bank Holidays and the period between Christmas and New Year. As a 51 week setting, this means that fees are payable all year round although we do acknowledge the need for families to have holidays together so do offer up to three weeks holiday time to be taken during the academic year for which fees will be waived.

​The nursery is open between 7.30 am until 6.00 pm and we offer sessions within that time frame so you only need to pay for the hours that you need. Our core/minimum session time is from 8.45 am until 4.00 pm. To that, families can add additional times - we offer breakfast club running from 7.30 am to 8.45 am and an early morning drop off session for anyone wishing to drop off their child between 8.00 am until 8.45 am. After 4.00 pm we offer tea club with pick up times of 5.00 pm, 5.30 pm and 6.00 pm.

As we are transitioning our setting to a 51 week provision, term times will still be honoured for existing families and children in our care and will operate on the schedule detailed below. Holiday Club will still be offered whilst we still have children on our previous 40 week term time offering but will eventually be phased out to external families over the next five years.

Fees and Funding
At Early Days, we offer many different sessions to suit all, from early drop off for breakfast to tea at the end of the day. There are three morning drop off times (from 7.30 am-8.00 am; 8.00 am - 8.45 am and 8.45 am onwards. We also have flexibile pick up times at 4.00 pm, 5.00 pm, 5.30 pm and 6.00 pm.

Hours outside of our minimum session time of 8.45 am to 4.00 pm, are add on sessions and there is no obligation for parents to extend their days to include additional hours beyond the above. Children arriving at 7.30 am will be served with breakfast, children staying after 4.00 pm will be served tea.

We accept all childcare vouchers for nursery places and holiday club bookings. Government funding is available for children eligible for working parent entitlement for those under three, for disadvantaged two year olds as well as the universal and extended offering available for three and four year olds. Funding for families on our 51 week provision will have their funding stretched from 15 hours per week to 11 hours or 30 hours per week to 22 hours respectively, so that funding is applied to every week of attendance. Funding is applied at a rate of 5.5 hours a day. Additional charges against funded hours are made for enhanced provision, snacks, lunches, and, in our Hedgehogs classroom, a consumables nappy fee. Funding cannot be applied against our add on sessions to extend your day, so for families sending their child for longer hours, additional hours chasres will be charged.
